Native willow with large silvery catkins appearing in spring, before long, shiny, bright green leaves. Some twigs will produce yellow stamens. Smooth, young, grey-brown bark becomes furrowed with age. Tall, clumping, upright shrub. Prefers full sun and medium to wet soils.
